i wish someone would start a national relic museum.

A museum with nothing but dug relics WOW!! that would be great, an online museum at that so everyone could enjoy, How about it David@Dixie?

That would be good, it could be used as a reference tool also. Say you find a gun tool or some type of bullet. You could go to it, type in the description of the bullet or type in "gun tools" and get a list of pictures. Then you could figure out what you have...d2

hi fellas, you know, i would be willing to part with some of my stuff just for others to see. it would make a great reference that anyone could go to to find out what it is they have found, both online and in person. aside from the value of the relics i've found, [which prolly ain't a whole lot] noone so far in my family has any interest in what i do. so, as you can imagine, that alone makes a man think about things. i figure we've all done a great job of saving history for our future generations to see and appreciate, and would like to see a national museum of metal detectorist' finds. your thoughts on this matter are appreciated. hh,

Someone could just get the pictures of the things we found and categorize them giving the finder credit. Have it so we could page through to ID something or just browse.

That's a great idea. I haven't been detecting too long but I'd be willing to put pictures of up everything I've found to contribute.

hi everybody, i surely don't want uncle sam involved. he's too involved in my life now as it is. i feel the same way you do about that. a physical building seems out of the question. just an online museum would be great. maybe we could talk our gracious sponsors into it... i don't know if they would go for it or not. but...it would be cool! an online finds museum. nobody else i can think of has one. but, there is strength in numbers. hh,

It would be great reference and it's cool to see what people found. That's why i come on here to see what people are finding.

It would definetly be a great idea. I dont think my state even wants you owning relics. They advise you turn them over to thier archealogist which throws all the boxed up stuff in a dark warehouse never to be seen again. Well I cant say what I advised to them.

Ive seen some of your finds GRAYGHOST and now look at the motherload RELICS4Plus has not to mention I can only imagine what the others on here have. Id say combined you would be looking at one awesome National collection. You just might be on to something great. Lets keep it up.

hello all, here's a part of the ol' gray ghost collection... as soon as i get the time, i'll download more pics of some other stuff. the sc buckle is a repro [albeit a nice one] bought it 'cause it's my home state, also bought the nice sc seal button and "I" button. i figured, if i can't find any, then why not help support the hobby? all the rest i found in various sites. thanks, and hh,

WOW! Keep it coming Gray Ghost, OK my mouth is watering and my finger is itching! If this don't excite you nothing will!! LOVE that SC plate
