,,,,,,,,,, you know; an upgrade of their old AT3 !!!! A waterproof VLF unit is really needed. Not having one leaves a a big hole in their product line up. I used to own one, and it was truly a keeper. Wonder why Garrett gave up on them............ or that type of detector????? I see Edmonton John has, and uses one...... and still getting great results.

Garrett did make an AT4, I had one back then, yellow chest mountable control box.

I wish Garrett would just produce anything. HAA. An AT4 would be good. Maybe they should take a poll and see what their customers really want.

Heard that Bill...

Whites and Minelab have been pumping out several new detectors every year. Garrett is way behind in my opinion. Whatever they come out with better be awesome!

I have an old AT4 and I wouldn't trade it for any other beach machine. Garrett doesn't have any repair parts for it so if it breaks I'm done. Every time I call Garrett I make the comment that they need a new machine like the AT4. I think the ACE250 would be perfect for converting to a water resistant machine.
