I will see your Merc and raise you a "MORGAN"

Well a dream came true today, got out with my Son today and hit a 1904 home in a small town about 1/2 hour north. We were on the yard less that five minutes and I hit a 1924 Merc, did alittle showing off and rubbed it in a bit our favorite thing to do to each other. Well he got his revenge 10 minutes later I was working the front yard and he came aroung from the side of the house he was working. I truely thought something was wrong when I saw him he had such a strange look on his face, I said whats up and he smiled and pumped his fist a little and said "I got a Dollar" I walked with him around the side and he showed me the Coin still in the hole and it was about half showing out the side of the plug could not see any detail but no mistaking it it was a silver dollar. He pulled it out and could see enough to smile at me and said "It is a Morgan pop" We got some water from the truck rinsed it off and found it was a nice 1897 O. We danced,hugged and yucked it up a little and then spent two more hours working the yard. Ended with the Morgan,2 mercs, a washington and two Indians. He said it rang up a 01-41 three ways and it was five inches deep. HH Dave

Thanks all he is still on cloud nine hope to experience that feeling myself one day but was happier he found it than if I had. And Ohio Digger you are right I kept my other finds to myself and my tail tucked between my legs the rest of the day HAHA
