I went out for a short less than 1 hour hunt this evening with my super CZ-70 Pro and ...

was having a nice hunt. I haven't been out in awhile. In about 20 minutes at a place I've hunted before, I found 6 inch two wheats in the same hole with a very large iron nail sticking out of the side of the hole, a nickle about the same depth in iron, and then I hear "sir". I take my headphones off and it's a police officer. I walk over and there's 3 cars! Apparently, there have been some recent occurrences of people breaking into the old abandoned house to steal copper/metal for scrap plus I parked in a business right next to it that I got the OK from the owner before plus I know a family member who detects too but it was the son who I met maybe once but didn't remember who I was and was still not very nice when I explained it...this is becoming all to common and it's getting tougher to detect without being challenged anymore...my personal CZ-70 may be selling soon since I'm just tired of this crap! If you're interested let me know :)

We are constantly challenged. Folks get spooked and call the cops all the time & say, "Suspicious vehicle". They either think we are in the woods near their house with guns, or figure we are casing thier house to rob. You can't just pull off the road like we always did......now hunting depends upon finding good parking where we won't gte bothered. Like putting the car near a boat ramp so folks figure we're just fishing or even asking people if we can park in front of their house to hike. Another thing I began to do is put a hiking book on the dash....then if a cop comes to inspect the car, he may then say: "OK,,,just hikers".
