I went for an hour long walk on my beach with the ACE250 this afternoon.

After the last couple of water hunts my arthritis was kicking up again so I decided to pass on the low tide today. It had been raining and blowing since last night as the latest cold front moves through and I just wasn't feeling up to it today. Late this afternoon the sun started to shine and I decided I had to do something with myself so I wandered down to my beach with the Yeller Feller and a garden trowel. I wasn't really hunting just messing around and catching some rays to warm my bones a bit.:stars:

The tractor guy was out grooming the beach so that added some excitement to the hunt as I had to keep dodging the tractor as he moved in to tidy up my holes, the holes were well covered but this guy is a bit of a perfectionist. He likes nice clean rake lines on the beach when he's done and my smooth pock marks just wouldn't do on his perfect beach.

I was asked to look for a surveryors pin by a neighbour on the beach so I took a look but no luck, there was a chainlink fence with galvanized post where he figured the pin was.
I managed a little over $2 in clad, a hotel key and a mood ring, so not terrible for just messing around. A little digging and some sunshine was good for my aching bones so I'll be back in the water tomorrow for a Real Hunt!

I'm in Sunny Bermuda, well it's usually sunny. It's sunny today so I'm headed back to the Southshore Beaches to see if the sand has finally shifted, I can just feel the gold lying just out of reach. Yesterday with the ACE250 was low key fun but today I want to HUNT!

The salad is Sargasso Seaweed and it's been piling up on the beaches for the last couple of months, it's a seasonal thing. Bermuda is located due north of the Sargasso Sea so we get a lot of it and once it piles up it gets full of hoppers and tiny flies, nasty if they get stirred up and fly into your mouth and eyes. Keeping the beaches clean for the tourists is a full time job this time of year.

One kewl thing is that the mood ring actually still works, first one I've found like that.
