I WENT CRAZY AND BOUGHT FOUR DX1 PINPOINTERS FOR MY 2 M6's and 2 MXT'S

I don't think you're crazy, but you must have a good budget for detecting products. The one downside (for some) of the Sunray is the fact that it must be connected to and designed for the detector in order to be used, but they work great. One upside is the fact that once installed, it's always there. You can't forget it or leave it behind and end up losing it like I did with an independent one.

I agree you did go crazy. LOL .. Sunray makes a good product, but Garrett makes a great pinpointer and you would only had to buy one.

HH .. I love those MXTs

I don't think you're crazy at all.

When I went to the dealer early last spring to buy a Vision, not much was known about the compatibility of the DX-1 to the Vision. This was before there was even a manual available for the V (I bought serial #16). I told my dealer that I would order a Vision, but when it arrived I would not accept it unless we could demonstrate that a new DX-1 would work on it. In other words, I would not have bought the Vision if the SunRay didn't work on it...I would have bought an E-Trac.

Needless to say, it worked and I'm a happy camper.

I have an MXT with a DX-1 as well. My wife even uses a SunRay probe on her Ace 250.

You must have some spare change to be able to afford those pinpointers. I just barely
could afford the Garrett Pro-pointer. If I could I'd get a Sun Ray or whatever it is you call it.
I'm going to have to find a lot of clad to pay for it.
