Darn cold today 15.8 F, (-9 C) and a cool wind to boot. I only have today off from work, so I had to get my detecting fix. To combat the cold, one needs to have a good hot meal before he heads out. Well, you can't get much hooter the chili peppers and eggs. I bet Big Cat Daddy Would love this meal too :)

I drove to a nearby toboggan hill, to see if any winter crops were ready for some picking. I had to dodge kids coming down the hill at me several time, and managed to survive.

Here are the totals for the day. A 2 dollar coin, a dime and a bunch of pennies. Pretty tricky getting them coins out of the snow.

My best find was a 2 dollar coin still pasted in the grass below the snow. And......after 3 1/2 hours in the cold, I too was getting frosted around the edges too. I called it a day....... :(

Wow John, you do have snow....I thought you were kidding.

From the looks of your beard she is cold.....you should have matching hats with the yellow fellow.

Gotta love those twoonies !

And to think some of us have already stored our detectors.

Not me, though. I get my inspiration from all you bold Canadians. I'm in Florida right now; that helps. But I'll be out in December when I get back to Iowa.

:canadaflag::clapping:.

You got stones John, to cold for me. I laughed when I was in Canada earlier this year. I changed a 5 and the gal asked "do you want some Loonies and Toonies". I was like Huh??:confused:

Ah you're a devoted diehard John. You should have whipped those eggs up before you cooked them. They taste smuch better. Try some jalepenos next time.
