I was starting to smell my armpits, BUT this morning

I surely had a bit of a breakthrough :super:!! Having been away from our great hobby for so many years, just getting back to it with my MXT 300, I was pulling my hair out. I had watched the instructional DVD and started out with using the basic settings and the first few times out, I found but a few early Lincoln Memorial cents. I just wasn't getting anywhere and being very good with technology, I was left shaking my head. Well, I went back to the very basics and got out into my yard where I have many different targets buried at numerous depths and worked very slowly to watch exactly how the unit was performing. That and someone here on the forum mentioning to just slow down and forget looking at the LCD constantly - LISTEN TO THE SOUNDS. I went right back this morning to the area I was hunting previously and I'm one happy camper. I unearthed 14 Memorial Cents (pre-1982), 2 wheat cents, one clad Roosevelt, ONE MERCURY DIME :clapping:, and A WALKING LIBERTY HALF in great condition :bouncy: :beers: !! It started to rain so I cut the hunt short. I have a long way to go, but thanks to the members here that always are willing to offer sound advice. HAPPY isn't a good enough word to describe how I feel. I'll figure out how to get the pics up and will do that as soon as I can. BTW, I just received my copy of the MXT Edge and I'm looking forward to the help I can gain from that book. Many here recommend it highly.

THANKS!!

Congrats on your finds, I've bee using the MXT for maybe 2 months now and i can tell you it finds things deep and a small item is not a problem either, dig all pull tab signals and you will be surprised at the things you find sometimes.

Hi Lunker,

I made sure I dug the boarder-line targets and it did pay off. Some of those pennies were found among a lot of junk and that MXT did its' job. The MERC was at 10 inches. The Walking Liberty was at 8 inches and that signal like to blow my ears out. I measured by the length of my Lesche digging tool. The response of the detector was truly outstanding. Good hunting to you!!

BIG congratulations on your finds Dom. WOW!!!! If you can, please post pictures. Our sore eyes would love to see that half dollar! Honestly we would love to see it all. You had one heck of a nice hunt and the more you use that MXT of yours, the more you're going to love it. And I do mean "LOVE IT".

It's so good to hear about people like you that have studied the MXT manual and went out hunting to come back with a wonderful story and great coins. Yes, what a breakthrough! You made my day! Please try to blind us with that big silver half find. :please:

HH to all,
