How about sharing the view with us Tim?
Nancy and I might head that way later this year when it cools off. I was planning on getting out that way over the holiday until I read that over 50,000 were expected to be there for the re enactment.

Great picture Tim, you are right about the view. If I'm guessing right, you are looking NW towards Rose woods and the wheatfield is in the upper right corner?

Yes looking down into the plumb run valley. They called it the valley of death. On the other side of the trees is the wheat field.

I've been on that same rock looking toward the valley of death many many years ago when I was a young LT in the USMC. We came up from Quantico Va and did a battle study and tour. It was a great day and very cool temps. Never forget. CCH
