I made a real neat Ring-tab, Pull tab puller it can be seen at the Finds Tesoro Forum Jan 28th posting buy jabbo. I got a real nice 5 gram mans ruby 14kt initial ring, has a W in the middle of it using that Ring tab puller. Man that puller works great. I put a few more hooks in mine then what is posted. Now to the 6000 XL PRO. I really like this machine. It really works great in the iron trash and any trash. I been using SAT Mode and norm mode and pull trigger to go to dis mode and you just can't beat it. I do double G/B it in Norm and Disk. Someone told me that is what the Relic hunters do and it makes the machine really stable. Been locking the G/B. I went ahead and got the 5.3 coil and the 8" coil. have to say I like the 5.3 and the shooter as I can run wide open. I have a M6 and and don't like it as good as I like the 6000 or my MXT. It really lies on deep targets where as the 6000 and MXT don't do nowhere near as much lieing as the M6. Haven't decided if the M6 will take a hike or not. More then likely it will. My 6000 is one really nice machine. I have a lot of machines and I have to say this one will stay. I really like the target ID and lock on in the all metal modes. I have to do the mineral G/B in the TR mode and even that works good. I have to say I even like the 6000 better then my MXT and brother that is saying a hell of a lot. Thanks MR. Bill it is a good machine and I like it. Now when I go over to FL. to see the kids next month we will see how it handles that black sand over there. Will not get rid of the M6 till I find out how it hunts over there also. Well anyway if you guys have not made one of those ring tab pullers they work great. :D: :D:  Jerry aka Tinfoil

Jerry, Congrats on the ring. I also like the 5.3 coil for most of my park and yard hunting. But, if you get a chance to snag one of those 350 Snooper coils, you won't be disappointed. I actually like it better than the 4 X 6 DD shooter. Seems to get more depth for me. And is an awesome coil for those real trashy spots. I must have missed the post on the ring tab puller. I will give that a look and see just how that works. If you haven't read that book "Taking a Closer Look at Metal Detector Discrimination" by Robert Brockett, you should. Chocked full of information about the type of hunting you are doing now. Thanks for keeping those of us still undergoing the winter weather in the "loop". (no pun intended). HH Randy

The XL-Pro/6000 SL series has some great features to offer. Simple setup, runs smoothly in adverse conditons, maybe the best metering system out there. I haven't tried the newer detectors out there but I bet it will hold its own against many of them. One way to evaluate a model is how much negative things people have to about it and this series has been around quite awhile there is very little negatives ever mentioned about it. Too bad Whites has discontined it, if they would have refined it even further who knows what it could have become. Depth is excellent when you crank up the signal balance. It does have better performance with a faster sweep speed.

and the TR mode when you G/B it to the Mineralization. You can go slow and pick the good stuff right out of the Iron. That is really Cool as the young people say. Us old guys say Damn now that Is the way I want a detector to do. Not only that but will ID and it locks on in all the modes. You can't beat that with a stick. :clapping :D: :D: .
