An American lady in town pulled her glove off while walking and her wedding ring flew off into the snow. She just received the ring January 4th, her second ring as she lost the first one as well and they have only been married for one year. I was able to find the ring quickly, a sweet little 14K/585 white gold ring they had made at the local Goldsmith. They tried to give me some reward cash but I told them it was a pleasure to help them out. Sorry, no picture, I forgot my camera and that is all I want from helping people out, a picture of the find or maybe some new land to detect, LOL. Made my day. HH, Mike

Good Mike, I do not charge people for finding gold rings either. This lady around here immigrated from Germany and I found her 18K gold German wedding ring in the garden for her. I would not take any money. They moved away for a few years and then came back a funeral here lately. She never even talked to me there that I remember, when I came to her table. Maybe she forgot. I would still do it for free again anyway. (But if it was an expensive diamond necklace lost by a rich person. Yes I would take the reward though).

At least the Police paid me some money for finding a bullet for them in a shooting. The strings they had for the bullet trajectory went into the lawn. Nothing there. The Policeman even shot bullet into the ground(it was on a farm) and I went over it. We were going to give up, then I tried one last time outside the yard-fence and there it was, past the trajectory point. He put it in an evidence bag, probably for court.

It's a great feeling when you can do that Mike. Put's a bit of a spring in your step.
It's great to hear.
