I was EXTREMELY pleased with the T2 at the DIV hunt!

and rather than write a "cover it all" field test-like report, I'll be glad to answer specific questions if there are any. The ground and subsequent challenges were by far the worst I and most other participants had ever hunted in, but the learnings using the T2 in that hellish ground were priceless.

George K. had said the results were quite good when he was there at a earlier date.

The T-2 can handle the mineralization well.

I never saw Tex there but with that many folks it's not uncommon. Did he like the secret weapon? I heard several folks did well with the pulses.

Federal rifle, pistol, and round ball bullets, Confed Gardner bullets, ferrous tack buckles, both General Service and Eagle I buttons, heel and toe plates, grommets, knapsack hooks and hardware, luggage bag clasp and some other relics that I can't recall at the moment. I need to get all the finds together and take inventory. :) I used both the T2 and X-5.

He used the T-2 the first day, and he then switched to the PI unit. He said he had very good luck with it.

you've got me on the hook to buy an upper end PI by this fall! ;)

I had the same results on day one with the T2. It worked as well as any other manual ground balance detector under extreme conditions. I found a Cavalry Carbine Sling Buckle and numerous other brass and lead targets. Being able to roll your finger on the adjustment knob was a big help when ground balancing.

And you will never go back to any VLF detector again for bad ground relic hunting.
