I was able to get 2 people 100% H@@KED on this hobby in 2010.

A few short months ago I took my budy Dave with me on some hunts...and before long he started piddling with my SE. :)

Within days he decided he wanted an SE just like I had. I told him to buy a new one...but he wanted MINE.:smoke:

I told him NO...but he was persistant. He kept saying he wanted mine because he knew I had found a lot of silver with it in the last 3 years.:)

I broke down and sold it to him because I had the E-trac and felt I was getting pretty good with it.

Well it wasn't 7 days later when I missed my SE...and bought me another one:punch:

Dave got real good with the SE...and REAL fast:thumbup:

He is patient...swings sloooowww...and is beyond stubborn when it comes to giving up on a site. Those are 3 key points to being a successful hunter:cool:

It wasn't long before I met a couple of Dave's friends...Brad and his wife Dana

Shortly thereafter; Brad was kind enough to set us up with a SWEET site:

Well the link right above this is the "episode" that pushed Brad "over the edge"...and within a few weeks he was using my XLT and hunting along side Dave and I.:clapping:

Well it only got "worse" after that:crylol:. I told Brad he should consider getting a new SE because I truly feel it's the best machine for hitting the deep turf silver that was walked over with other machines.

A few evenings ago Brad called me over to see his new toy:clapping: :bouncy:....

He is so excited in the one picture...he is detecting coins in his wife's pocket.:bouncy:

That's well over 500lbs of muscle and 110" of chest from these 2 fellers' surrounding me. Trust me...the 3 of us can seriously HAMMER some pizza:surrender:

Now I can see this ONLY one of two ways....

1) Thats just 2 more coils swingin' over the exact same sites I hunt...which means even less finds for me from already heavily worked spots

OR...2) More comradery...more fun...more memorable moments...the smiles on their faces when they dig something...the precious friendship and bonding...the sheer joy of hunting with "good" people and being able to share the "finds" with someone.

Bet you can guess which way I see it:beers:

Nice post Bryce and I think it's probably more like 150% hooked on this great hobby.:clapping: By the way, any side bets on the game this Sunday?:starwars:

Eddie

Great post Bryce......you still have the advantage over your friends "experience"...I'd hate to have to pay the tab for feeding you three at one sitting.

Truth be known Bryce, you probably got more than 2 people 100% hooked on
this hobbie from just your posts, comments and advice. Thanks my friend and
keep up the good work. BTW....nice post. Gold Nuggets :wiggle:

Coinshooting is my only hobby other than vegetable gardening, and I'm always excited about the hunt and the friends I get to share it with! I've met many nice folks down through the years and caused a few to get interested in this wonderful hobby we share! I must be addicted to this hobby, or I wouldn't be sitting here at midnight after working 12 hours, and typing this post! I'm 63 yrs young and still working a full time job. Plan to retire this coming fall! Great feeling we get from sharing this wonderful hobby!!!

You are a serious bad influence on your friends. LOL

Always more fun to have somebody to share the hunt with.

Rich

Goldnuggets you are right because he got me addicted as well. Now if I could only tag along on a hunt with him:ninja:

Nice post Bryce! Again, you are a credit to the hobby and there are 2 more people that will thank you with their smiles!

NebTrac

I guess they would be discrediting me too because I was with you when you dug that so called "mudball" as he put it.
I witnessed it...heck I even helped you dig it. I guess you didn't feel the guy making the insinuations even deserved to know you had a witness so I'll take care of it for you! The whole thing just ticks me off. Ok I said my piece and I'll let it go now. I'm done with it. If you want to delete this thats okay but I wanted to vent. Im your friend and I don't stand for crap like that. Later buddy

It looks like the silver and the pizza in your area are going to be endangered. It is great to have friends to detect with and enjoy the hobby.

I was gonna' make you a friendly wager...like maybe a dime...but the way both of these teams are so unpredictable...I "ain't" even riskin' that:rofl:

Very nice Bryce!!

There is nothing better than sharing a morning of hunting with friends.

Careful though, you might have to be on the receiving end of their wives one day. :argue:

Good for you and your buddies.

Welcome Brad.:clapping: Bryce said that you got registered and that you are one of his recruits. It's a great addiction and a great forum and look forward to you posting some of your finds. Just walk behind Bryce and sqeek out a coin he passed over and that otta get him going. GL & HH and again, welcome to the forum.
