I wanted to be the next John -Edmonton

and get a 1500. Started out with the 400 (it will be two years this spring) and wanted to upgrade to a better machine. There are so many raves about the 250, that it gets one thinking that they can get <BIG>more</BIG> depth for <BIG>less</BIG>.
I realize that the 250 does not have the imaging capabilities, among other features, of the 1500 (can't miss what you never had), however, has pretty decent depth. I would really like to hear about the depth comparisons between the two.

I don't know if the GTI is deeper or not.
I like the GTAx 1250 best.It's a GTI 1500 without sizing.I like the 7x10 PROformance coil better than the Imaging coil of the GTI.

I compared the Ace 250 to my GTAX 1250 today.
The 1250 gets 2-3 inches more depth.
But more power dosn't always mean more fun.

Several inches in favor of the 1500. More power, bigger coil = more depth.
