SCUBA is one way, first you need to obviously get certified for 1. Safety, 2. Safety and 3. So you can get tanks filled, can't get them filled without cert. card. An alternative is Hookah which is Surface Supplied Air diving. Still need to have training for this, google Airline by Jsink, they have various units and an on-line training course. SCUBA training is still desirable to use this system but not "required". If you value your life however you should get training. The Hookah units are available as floating gas or 12v electric units, also boat mounted units. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. The Hookah setup for 2 divers with capability of going down say 60 feet is around $2,300. Also check out Octopumps.com, they have more affordable units with less capabilities however if you merely only want to go 10-15 ft or so, they would work fine. Still need training if only going into shallow water as you are still breathing compressed air and there are dangers present if you don't know what your doing. Good luck and hope this helps.
