I want to get another XLT... What's the diff between the XLT and the "E" model??

Old one I had was a regular Spectrm and really liked it. I've been told the "E" is just stickers? but I can't believe they would goto all that trouble..... Thanks for the info in advance!

n/t

The original Spectrum had the larger control box. The Spectum XLT had the smaller or current control box, and later the name was changed to XLT. No difference other than that.

i have the old xlt and the e series sitting side bye side as we speak the is no difference in the control box or the housing same machines different sticker

Thanks, Also is there an issue with screens? that may be the diff between the E and the regular XLT?.

Now I hear they are going to get rid of the XLT ? ? ? What gives? Anybody else hear this?

I doubt if they will do away with the XLT in the near future as been around 18 years and still a fine unit.

Same screens on either the E or rainblow series although some claim the E has a faster processor.

Some screen pods after many years just wear out and one gets lines on the screen itself or the connector from the band of wires to pod just comes loose or loses complete contact..Easy fix on a lose wire harness but if not Whites has to change the pod at your expense as doubt if one would go out under warranty and talking about XLT's with years in the field where the pod becomes faulty..

Local dealer is a gold star dealer and sold many XLT's over the years and relates problems with them are far and few between and I agree with him as many club members have had them since 92 and still going strong...

I still remember the basics of operation, but I'm sure I'll be in here talking yall's ears off asking questions.

* Thanks to Pulltab for a great deal. *
