I am 14 and i have been hunting relics with my dad for about a year and i am looking for a spot to find relics around Trenton GA. that is near Chickamauga GA.

thanks

RESEARCH,RESEARCH and more RESEARCH! your dad should be able to or should have been doing this by now. Your in a good area, and I do hope ya'll get onto some relics soon.

Then find the nearest flat top (or nearly so) hill that has a creek nearby and had an old road running past and get permission to hunt. That area had a lot of troop movement and just about any good looking area is going to be worth checking out. Yeah, I know the permission thing can be tough because a lot of people, here in the South, don't live near the property they own, especially if farming is only a sideline or the land was inherited. You gotta knock on neighbors doors and ask if they know who owns it and how you might be able to get ahold of that person. A lot of times at least one neighbor is keeping an eye on the place for the owner.

Hi. You found your first relic, here. I'm 75 years old. (G) But, seriously, look around old churches in your area. Just make sure, if you dig a hole, cover it back up. Most pastors won't mind. Luck!

Talk to some folks around Lafayette and McClemores Cove. Also try to get permission on private property on Lookout Mtn. (stay off of the park property). Also a lot of spots in Bridgeport and Stevenson, Ala. areas. Canewrap gave some good advice.
