There was a 20 mph wind coming toward shore off the Lake,HUGE waves coming in,the surf was churning up the sand bottom,as far out as I could see,practically....With that kind of wave action on and off until next year and beyond, how does ANYBODY find anything good detecting in the water???Odds are it is constantly uncovering lost stuff, and then burying it again,so deep no detector would ever find it.......Would some of you experienced folks at Great Lakes wet detecting please share some of your ideas on how to detect such large, constantly changing beaches and shallows, from ankle deep to 4-5 feet deep??.????It seems to me that just wandering aimlessly while swinging, besides being good exercise, would be very unproductive...........Thoughts???? Thanks,Warthog Steve............

Like the dry sand, you have to hunt where the people go. Most items sink in the sand some but don't move from there unless it get's real rough out there.
