Wakley Lake which is east of Grayling on 72. Nice day. I took it with my little Vado video camera as my sony is in the shop

that was a great video, so clear and put me right in the shot.

Dang bud, I'm pretty sure I couldn't keep up with you in that simply beauitful country, good job Royal as always :clapping:

Have you ever fished in that lake? That camera did a decent job for you. Thanks for sharing this video, I enjoyed watching it. Kelley (Texas) :)

it was my cheap Vado http://www.amazon.com/Creative-Labs-Camcorder-Storage-Digital/dp/B001LK8P14 Nice day for a walk. Nothing much happened. I was disappointed the sound was not good enough to hear all the dang Pats taking off. If I had had the Sony it would have caught it. Also the Coyote didn't come through:confused:

Hi Royal,

Thanks for taking us along on your hike.

It was a great look at nature at her best and I sure enjoyed the trail!

Funny though, I didn't get tired or outa breath at all!! An the air wasn't nearly as fresh sittin here in front of the computer.

I browsed through your other recordings and came across Jimmy Wakley singing "Slipping Around".

Is he a relative? I didn't take the time to watch all the videos, but there were several Wakley's there and I'm sure a story too!

Thanks again,

CJ

PS Do you use a hiking stick? They can really help on those trails where the footing is chancy.

to see mine you have to do a Youtube search for royalott. I think I have 80 or so. Not as exciting as many but what the heck, my life is not all that exciting :D

any place I take a video or picture with it a GPS tag is also put on the picture. You can not see it but when I download it to my computer and open it in my program I can click on a button and a map comes up showing exactly where I was standing when taking the picture. It is extrememly handy. I can look at my pics of Hawaii and see where we were in the helicopter or airplane when I took the picture. I can see where we were on the boat when on the whale watch. It is pretty darned accurate too.

I took some pictures of my mushroom hunting and opened them and the tags were not there. Bummer. When hunting mushrooms I do not really know exactly where in the woods I found them but the pictures should have shown me. Didn't happen. No information at all. I checked to see if I had it checked right and it was.

I had to send it back. We are doing a bit of bumping heads right now over it

nice flat sand footing. My wife was asking if they allow horses in there?. She really enjoys the trails they allow them on around CT and RI. Nice cournty for sure. I was trying the walking and talking video the other day. Hard to do and not sound winded. That Vado does a decent job. Thanks for the guided walk. Thats my 5.2 miles for the day...LOL

checking all my caches for winter. They were all fine except for one and the last clown that found it didn't bother trying to hide it. Dumbazzes

Been so busy have not given them much thought. Most of mine are in or near stone walls so they are able to hunt them in the winter if they want even with snow on the ground. Got a few more here I want to put out, but have not got around to it. Raced all day yesterday at a Hare Scramble. I took a lot of video, will post some later this week. Andy took a 3rd over all so he was happy. 4 mile loops, flat out. He just changed bikes this week to a fuel injected one for motocross.
Figured he see how it would do in the woods. Very high cranking 4 stroke....14,000 rpm's.... Quite the little bike. Got to try that out myself this week on Wed at the track. Today it was back to splitting more wood.

I can almost taste those Grouse, stuffed with mushrooms:biggrin:
Sound was fine, could hear you huffin and puffin real clear. Thanks for the nice trip bud:thumbup::thumbup:

It was nice to see that time of the year again, it's been a lot of years since I have experienced that change of the seasons period. Remembering the dead of winter is easy because I always hated it but the change is always the part I enjoyed and your video helped bring back some of those memories.

Thanks Royal,

BDA:cool:

hike today and my feet are killing me. That seems like an exciting year you have ahead of you. Where you setting after that?

I will never forget that clear kayak you posted a picture of. Man I would love to have one of those babies but I priced them :(

We're taking a year or two to just travel the world, Antarctica then South America, we'll spend next summer on our 1959 Chris Craft Connie in Lake Michigan, then we are heading for New Zealand and Australia via Hawaii and Easter Island. South East Asia, Japan and China are next on the itinerary - political conditions permitting. I've got a few things that I want to see with my own eyes and I figure I better see them while I still can, my wife feels the same way as she is still looking at going blind in the next 5 years.
The world is out there, sometimes you just have to reach out and grab it by the nuts.

Good to see you are well, Royal.

Eric

PS : I sold the clear kayak yesterday to a nice couple, they paid me $900 for it which I thought was fair. I hope they enjoy looking at the fishes through the bottom of the clear kayak, I got PADI certified this summer so I don't need the boat anymore.
