I think we should lighten up a little !

Tesoro made their choice on New Machine release... Announced it......... and will soon have it in their dealers show rooms.

We have no Idea what has been added, for better results, and fact is..It may be the best machine we ever used.. It certainly does have the coils for all
around detecting... Lifetime Warranty .......... and Rusty Henry to take care of us as we use it..

I say............ Good Job Tesoro ................ Looking forward to your new Metal Detector !!

I agree Elton . Even though the Outlaw looks similar to some of the other Tesoro models we do not know whats under the hood until we take it for a ride. Seems to be alot of mechanics out there but they haven't even got their hands greasy yet ;)

Well all I can say is good for Tesoro if this detector does well. But hopefully in the near future they will come out with a new detector possibly with tone ID and the "HOT" circuitry like the Cibola ect. I think if some of you like the Outlaw then by all means buy one. That would be good for you and great for Tesoro. But some of us Tesoro customers would like something new in the line up. So I hope Tesoro is coming out with a new design soon. Either way Tesoro is a great company and I wish them well.

Elton you couldnt have said it better, Im really looking foward to trying it out and then I guess we can start with our reviews...lol

That sounds more than reasonable in the way you worded your post. Like all detectorists we all Hope for more!.
Nothing wrong with those thoughts at all. I hope they come out with a slam bang Id machine. I started years ago detecting..and to be honest, I took to Id detectors like a duck takes to water..

So all thoughts on what one likes, and would like to see, makes sense. I think tesoro is as we speak working on their next release. ...... Will it fit every-ones Style, or likes ?? Maybe.

I would think Tesoro knows their fair market share depends on progress ....... So far even though not everything has been 100% addressed to my tastes. I still have to say ALL their machines have certainly worked well for the majority.. and Tesoro will no doubt design more machines in the future that will please us all..........

Their history has been mostly Beep & Dig ........ It's been successful, and should that be their Forte in the future, I'm certain they will be very good quality, well working, Beep & Dig Machines...

Elton, I agree with you. Over the years I have owned and tried many Tesoro machines, and still have 4 in my arsenal. Over the years, I have found: a) They all work well; b) they are all different to each other; and c) there is something there to suit a wide range of detecting circumstances, including a wide range of locations and a wide range in the experience (or not) of the detectorist. I await with interest to see what this latest offering can do.

I guess some people expect every new detector to be King of the Hill and find dimes at 2 feet and make every other machine obsolete. And, as if that weren't naive enough, they also rag on about a machine nobody has even tried (except for one poorly done review).

Unfortunately, these sorts are also the loudest and most obnoxious and lack the decency to show a little respect for a company that has given us so much over the years and still makes some of the most unique products in the business.

They can't even manage enough sense to know that, until they've tried one, they really know nothing about it.

What's dumber than not knowing something? It's not knowing that you don't know.

It's as if they don't want a new detector -- they just want some overblown advertising hype that makes them salivate.

(And, no, I have no connection to the the company.)

Till now, I haven't put in my two bits on the new arrival. Of course I haven't had one in hand at this point, but two things come to mind that I don't believe I've seen mentioned. Tesoro has mostly stayed with the simplicity and reliability of the "beep and dig" design. To the best of my knowledge no other quality manufacturer even offers a "beep and dig" machine anymore, while the majority of newbies get dazzled by detectors offering all sorts of bells and whistles, most of which they don't need. Also, and this is a big, welcome surprise to me, the Outlaw takes the earlier 5 pin coils. I have a pretty complete selection of these that would be a shame to retire due to obsolescence. How many newer machines from other companies are compatible with the owner's older coils? I can see the user of a Bandido II

Good point Bill & for those like me that has just one detector with one coil, Conquistador
