Back out to the local high school today, considering Saturday was a total wash due to rain. By about 11:00 a.m., sun was shining and temps warming up enough to make an afternoon of it. All of the rain yesterday made the ground and target reaction noticeably different than what I was experiencing last week, so it took a little time to get use to the differences I was hearing. Ground was absolutely saturated in some of the areas I usually hunt, so will have to go back to them later when it dries out a little.

Today was another "clad day", and I dug everything that gave a good signal, including 2 junk rings, an earring, misc. other junk items, and a BUNCH of coins including another 6 silver dimes from an area near the old railroad tracks where there use to be an old farmers market, one of my best daily coin counts in a long time. Total was 291 coins from 11:00 am until a little after 4:30 p.m., still averaging about one coin per minute. Spent about 30 minutes hunting under the football field bleechers, and that boosted the count up a little in a relatively short time period. It was pretty obvious that someone had been cleaning out the surface coins on a regular basis, because most of what I brought out had been there for awhile from the looks of the discoloration.
Clad is clad, but it's still fun.......
