It has been raining everyday for the last 10 days... And temperature is now an unseasonal 10 degress. Perfect for detecting :)

But yesterday wasn't In the silver gods plans for me. I went out with Luke all day and came back home with 4.25$ in clad, but no silver, no jewels no nothing else :(

Here we are at the first stop. Getting out of the detectmobile and putting our rain gear...

Luke found a pre-1937 dime lately there and we gave a shot at the place. Only found a couple weathies and pennies. Back in the truck for the next stop.

Next place was a small municipal square. There my luck didn't got back and i still could only find pennies. Luke was more fortunate with a silver dime.

Public works employees saw us dig in the park and came to see what we were doing. After seeing us do, they had nothing to say and left us continue. Besides, they had plenty in their hands because the local river was getting out of it's bed and they had to make sure to limit the damages. In fact, the third objective of the day was an other small but old park located across the street. to get there, we had to cross that little bridge...

<img src="http://www.quebecdetection.com/samedi3.jpg">

A bit scary, we weren't sure how solid the bridge was... we king of tested it before crossing, but it was solid cement on bed rock, so no danger... a little more and even crossing the bridge would be challenging...

Unfortunatly, once we got on the other side, here is what the park looked like. Nope, we wont be detecting there that day...

We tryed two more older place that day and still could only come up with pennies (except for a silver quarter that Luke got). Oh well, can't win on every exit !

Today, i'll have to make some progress on the back yard planting. I only purchased the first batch of flowers for the season. I think i wont have enauph for those plant beds.

<img src="http://www.quebecdetection.com/cour1.jpg">

Here are some for the flower boxes.

<img src="http://www.quebecdetection.com/cour2.jpg">

Well i did managed to plant one of the boxes. It doesn't look like mutch for now, but i will get bigger and more colorfull

<img src="http://www.quebecdetection.com/cour3.jpg">

Eventually, i'll have to add the palm trees. I fill several holes with 5 foot palm tress purchased at Wallmart. Dont know when they will get them. It's only 10$ per plant and i'll have to trow away half of the batch in fall, unless i find a new home for them. The small holes near the pool will recieved one, and there will be some more in the rock river on several well chosen spots around the pool.

Eventually, as season progress it will look a bit like that, r even a little better as we add stuff each year...
