Everyone's waiting on a company's new , deeper machine. (Any manufacturer) So after years of development, testing ,research etc it arrives. So far so good, technology keeps advancing. After the dust settles, here comes the dumming down, less expensive models in the line up. So here's my question. After coming out with a limit pushing detector, they go and reverse engineer a less capable unit. Not quite as deep, maybe not so stable. They have to be doing something to make it less desirable. And I would bet that what they left out isn't worth peanuts in cost of parts.
Of course this holds true with washing machines, refrigerators, autos, and everything else. I ain't making this up.

Makers now seem to use chips, so in bringing out a less feature laden model the maker simply leaves out features.
( today people can just duplicate a chip, China for example--that is outright theft, no "reversing")

Yes Vlad the Chip. Just ain't right a manufacturer spends time & money on development only to have it stolen almost immediately.
So getting back to comparisons. The Deus came out with some really ground breaking technology. (Cordless) So with the Deus Lite, they reduced the screen to the size of a large watch. (With limited info) Here's my question. When this device is attached to the head phones, is the Deus now a Beep & Dig or at least a hi- bred detector ?
