I think I found a minelab xs and a sunray probe for 500 bucks is this a good deal? I think it is so now I need all the info I can get on the xs and all of you xs users opinions on settings and your experiences with them I cant wait to get going with it its gonna be a good year I think whooo whoo..

Thanks Travis

At that price, assuming it all works, buy it. Then put it in factory presets and go out and start digging and learn it a bit. Or go out with an experienced explorer user and have them show you some deep coin signals.

But no settings that anyone could give you here are going to make any sense until you have the machine in hand and understand how it works a bit in the field.

Turn it on and go slow.[/quote

I've never understood why people recommend this. I certainly don't go slow by any stretch of the imagination and my finds speak for themselves.

Travis, is it a Sovereign XS or Explorer XS we're on about

Take of $140 for the 2nd hand sunray X-1 leaves you $360, sounds good to me, had it been a Sovereign XS i might have hesitated, hence my question, good luck to both on sale and purchase
