I never found more then two silvers before, today found 4 silver dimes,1947,19381950, and a 1940, Willy if you read will give you the location.
Going back to rehunt soon, thanks for looking..

Usually very difficult to find sites in the city, this site is small but worth a few more hunts, it was next too a old swimming pool that was closed years ago.

there should be some rings to be found. Old swimming pools are one of the best sites to find rings. Looks like you had a great day, good for you! Kelley (Texas) :)

I will lower as you mentioned, living in a modern city it's rare for me to come across a new productive site. Yes had a fun day and hopefully can post a few more finds... oj

takes some research...most folks find researching to be boring and thus shun doing it. Yesterday, while taking care of a business matter, I met a man that was living in an older part of San Antonio. I found out through causal conversation that he had lived in that house since 1947 when he was a boy. When his father passed away a few years ago, the house became his. I found out that when that house was built, there were no other houses nearby as per se. He said that all the land was considered out in the county and he use to rabbit hunt where houses now stood. He pointed to a park down the block that we could see from his front yard and said that he use to buy penny candy from a little store that was located where that park now stood. That was a far as we went with the causal conversation because I had to pay him for the lawn chairs that I was buying from him and get back home. My point is that if I had spend a few more minutes with him, I probably could have gotten some good leads from him. One of the best sources for leads are old folks...they enjoy someone taking the time to visit with them and they often know where some good sites are located that no one else will know about. How many people know that the park is located where there was once a small country store...see what I mean? Kelley (Texas) :)

as I was hunting my new site, a man around my age came over to chat, he pointed out where the swimmers sat on the grass, it was exactly
where I was finding the fairly old coins... see you.. oj

I like the little sites from yesteryear.... I have a pond site like that that used to be a little beach house shack, then they made it a place for lockers and food items..... Shack is pretty much gone but the pond is always a good producer when its down where I can get to spots I have not pounded. Hard in the grass there as its really thick thick hay now, but when I need a silver fix, I still go back. Never been skunked there YET........

Nice items......I'd be happy with that for a outting. I need to get out myself..... Thats good inspiration.
