A new machine with excellent tone id features and inferior headphones. Well maybe we all hear sound a little different. I cringe at cutting or modding anything.
 
Yeah ... but now that I am 64 I dont know if it is inferior headphones or just inferior ears ... :surprised: ...
 
but to really appreciate the audio you need some high fidelity phones in my opinion that's all...My modified Koss TD-81's really gets the tector to talking...especially on the whisper's...really gets them fuzzy sounding instead of just scratchy as the stock phones do... but it's all personal preference ...

Bring it "'ON"" Garrett,went out today here in Aus and fried my ears,32 degre c and very humid,used the speaker and its usable,,,,but its like my dog with fleas,very scratchy,found a few coins and was happy to have christened the pro,Garrett have done a good job on this one and there is going to be a new learning curve with this detector,had the 2500 with me to check a few targets and it felt like a old rocking horse compared to the pro,went home and checked all my electronic books and cant find a plug to adapt for my summer headphones,hope you guys come up with something,,I know you will,,at the right price that is,,regards bazza and scratchy,,,:thumbup:
