I still have not updated my T2

Hi Eddie,

I now have a T-2 with the upgrades, But I'm more of a two-tone "2+ tone feature" user and haven't really used the new tone feature out in the trenches to give you an analysis but from back yard testing it sure has amazing quick audio with shifting from one tone to the next using multiple test targets.

Like you, I waited and didn't want the upgrade because I prefer the two tone feature. Then, The handle broke off and after sending off the unit for repair decided to go ahead and have the upgrade installed since it's going there anyways. Prior to the unit's handle breaking off, the T-2 appeared to have a problem and with the handle breaking off might as well have the repair center check out the problem too.

Then, They called and said they will be sending me a new model with the upgrades and boy was I surprised as I was only expecting them repair the handle and look into the minor problem the unit had.

Several T-2 users wanted and do use the multiple tone feature, Several don't and depending on your hunting needs you may not need the new upgrade.

I've found the T-2 for serious relic hunting or searching for old coins in older trashy areas going with the two tone or three tone setup is best, And if that's the type of areas you search you may not need the upgrade.

Keep us posted Eddie with your decision,
HH, Paul (Ca)

I've been using the 3b mode alot. I often run in 3 and check in 3b but when the trash gets thicker I'll often play with 3b and through testing I haven't lost any coins. For coin hunting I like hearing more information. At first I was hunting in db mode (Which I thought was great for relic hunters) but after realizing it's not sampled I thought I might be missing some things, so I switched out of it and got used to 3 and 3b. Any comments here about the db mode?

I'm hunting in areas with lots of trash but can't get used to the 2+ though I did use it. Someone care to elaborate on it a little bit. Note - I am hunting for coins, not relics.

Good luck all,
Earthmansurfer
