OK, went to a lake to play freeze in and had a BLAST!! My best find will save till later. I managed 3 rings, a 14.4 gram 10K monster with black onyx and a diamond. Inscription inside is To Bud Love Jean 6-52. Melt value - ARA 2% is 316.00!! Silver ring and junk ring A 1907 Barber, 1910 Canadian and a 1945 Merc were my other silver finds. Also 5 wheat cents.

New coins are 4 quarters a dime a nickel and 12 pennies. Two of the bullets are OLD, The appear to have a date of 9/83 on the bottom. The one old brass shell is a center fire without primer also super old. The cuff-links are gold plate.

OK now for my best find that I am jazzed about. its in front of the dollar bill for size, I didn't find the dollar. I can't get it open BUT for sure something is inside and I think I know what is. It is NOT a match safe or a lipstick tube. Will let you all guess till tomorrow evening!!

It is a match safe. Found them on Fee-bay. I was able to use pb blaster and get the threads loose to get inside. It says Marbles , Gladstone Mich. Pat 1900 on the outside. It did sound like it had marbles in it!! LOL after I found out it was a match safe I thought maybe just maybe coins. LOL NO on both accounts. How about 6 shear pins for an outboard prop?? LOL maybe next time!!

Still a cool find. The rubber gasket is shot BUT no water was inside. Probably been down there for a long time.

Nice Treasure, well earned with the hunting conditions!!

Nice finds!, the match safe is from the 70's, my dad bought me one as a kid and I still use it today!

From the 70's?? It says Pat. 1900 on it!! Strange. It also has the abbriviation of Michigan as Mich, instead of MI. Maybe he bought you an antique? LOL NO idea. Will have to reasearch it. Ty all for your replies. I sure wish the water was warmer!!! But I will put up wth it.

Well indeed they were made till the 1970's!! Your absolutely right. The 6th generation. Here is a link:

Mine is way before that because it didn't have the bail on it. Never did. So who knows what generation mine is. could be First - Fifth. Its a keeper for sure. Thinking about getting out today but a little unsure. Would at least love to see some sun on a 43 degree day!!

LOL IF you read a few posts down it tells what it was!!! A match-safe with 6 shear pins in it for outboard props. Nothing exciting for sure!!! Myabe the next find.
