Found this with my ATP this afternoon about two inches down. Rang in at about an 80. Note that on the "front" the edge is beveled. There is no writing on either side. I'm wondering if has something to do with holding a button on a couch or chair. I keep thinking that I should know what this is but just can't come up with the answer.

Very possibly what you say it is. But I would think the 2 holes would be centered and not offset.
There should be something that requires that offset. Don't know what it is though. At 80, it should
be silver don't you think?

The beveled edge tells me it was probably seated into some sort of port. It might be part of a metering valve.

most pot metal comes in high like that. I found pieces of fence post with the T-2 today that read 89 like a quarter.
