I SEE A NEW AT PRO FOR SALE ALREADY ON THE CLASSIFIEDS AFTER ONLY BEING USED FOR FOUR HOURS. NOT MUCH OF A TRIAL RUN

Bill,

I think ky digger explained pretty well why he was not happy with the AT Pro. I believe he disliked the audio, and the short headphone cord

He mentioned he had 38 years of detecting behind him, so this was not his first time. In that time period, we all come to like and dislike certain machine traits

I appreciate his opinion. I have read enough detector reviews on Lost Treasure to know that the professional reviewers never find a fault with a machine they review. Each machine is wonderful

Ky digger did not like the audio. The audio would not change if he used the machine for 2 days, weeks, or months

Very true and his choice. Not knocking anything or anybody, just thought four hours was an awful short test run. The old Fisher 1266 was as noisy as they come but look at the finds that old hog has racked up over the years. Who knows, there may be more AT's for sale due to one dislike or another. And I'm one of those professional reviewers with 46 years under my belt and I don't claim units are wonderful if they ain't.

Bill

Guess not. I just saw it as I seldom hit the classifieds. I would have thought as hard as they are to get that someone would have snatched it up.

I read that post and thought the seller was very honest about what he did not like about the AT PRO and why he was selling it.

When reading published reviews in the press you need to understand that what isnt said about a detector speaks louder than what is said.

If reviews were written the way they were written on these forums (direct, honest, straightforward, opinionated) they would never get published.
Advertising pays the bills and manufactures dont advertise with publishers that say negative things about their products.
They only want to see positive comments or reviews.
Ever notice that right after a big glowing 3 page review of a new detector there is a full page ad for it.

The seller of the the AT Pro claims 38 years of detecting and that he likes Minelab detectors and the audio sounds they make,..........well...... to each there own. I tried to like the Explorer ll with it's fluty sounds and did not like it. THe EX ll is deep machine and found some deep coins for me, But I could not handle the audio, sounded like Zamfir and his pan flute.

I think the guy shot himself in the foot.......... so to speak as far as selling the AT Pro. You gotta give the guy credit though for being honest about why he did not care for the AT Pro.

Well if we all liked the same thing .....There would only be one type of detector out there.....But there are different brands and different models of detectors........So we all can enjoy the one we like....
