i want to buy a minelab ctx 3030 standard pack with 17 inch coil, 6 inch coil and head phone underwater detector pro..

on big boy is sell me all this for only 2499$ us(2750 canadians dollar) but is not possible to shipping in canada and in canada is sale me the same kit for more than 3000 us dollar..

i search place on us or canada authorized dealer is sell on the same price to big boy and is shipping in quebec(canada).

Your English is better than my French! I am from the US, but live in Japan and I have been able to get two CTX's and one Garrett ATX in recent years. Bought mine from forum vendor Ron @ Windy City Detectors. Best of luck in your search, the CTX is worth the trouble.

If you came to the states and bought one would there be a problem with customs to bring it back into the country?

I cross borders with mine all the time - Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Thailand and US. If customs asks, I just tell them I have been metal detecting on vacation, which I have. Never asked a follow-on question. Soooooo -- buy the detector in the States, buy a padded carry bag - Minelab or Garrett both work - lose the box the CTX came in - detect with it while you're in the States and then take it home. If you are asked any questions, answer them truthfully - I was detecting in the States on vacation! Worse case, you have to pay an import tax -- best case -- you find something on vacation or shortly after returning home that makes up for it. Bottom line, the CTX will pay you back!

Well, Thebug, I bought my CTX 3030 from Kellyco and I can tell you that by the time I paid my tax, plus the 330$ in import duties, I was no further ahead. My recommendation is to buy here in Canada. There really are no bargains to be had from buying in the States. There is no such thing a free trade. Atleast at the end of the day, you just supported a Canadian business. That is my two cents.

I ordered mine from Radioworld in Toronto. At the time (last summer), they were offering a nice package which included a pinpointer, 6" coil and waterproof headphones as well as the standard 11" coil and land headphones, for $2500. Looking at their site now, it doesn't seem like they have as good a deal on, but you may want to check from time to time to see if they have a sale.

Yes, that's mine for sale in Toronto, a great deal for someone. I'm going to move to a lighter detector and also do more beach work (I'm a 5 minute walk to beach boardwalk, woodbine beach).
I would be willing to ship for the extra cost. @thebug, beware the warranty issue! If you have any issues with your unit Minelab Canada won't touch a unit that was purchased from the states.
You will have to ship it back to the states for repair, a major pain. And you might 'accidentally?' be charged for import again! that happened to me when I sent some headphones back to the states for repair.
Oh, it's actually 2 years old, so 1 year left on (Canadian) warranty as I purchased it here in Canada.

Bonjour Thebug. Be careful of buying knock offs/immitation CTX 3030's. Hopefuly you are buying from a reputable dealer. 2499$ Canadian for everything that you have listed sounds too good to be true.
