Thanks to Ed and Brian for suggesting them. They are right here in Michigan too. I was surprised at how much I recieved. I sent in only 3 gold rings I had found detecting. One nice thick mens wedding band and a nice size gold ring with a sail boat on it. Plus one real thin womans wedding band. I got $130 bucks for em. Way more than I thought I would. Were only 14k and 10k. Maybe I should think twice about trying to go after rings instead of the old coins. Nah, I love the old coins.

Look into some of the older swimming holes in your area. Remember, I always wanted to jump into the river there at Island Park, but never got around to it. The old "Dutchtown" swimming hole in Albion gave up quite a few goodies. If that stream every dries up, I know there's more out in the muck in the millpond. I couldn't get out there without becoming a permanent feature of the stream bottom myself, so I stuck to the shallow stuff. Plus, I never really searched downstream in the millraces. Someone once told me that a jewelry store in downtown Albion actually fell into the river many years ago. Maybe wading the river with a detector and a floating sifter, just west/downstream of downtown, might yield up so goodies. The oldest, still-active Boy Scout camp is out on Wolf Lake. If you had a boat, launch it into the lake, motor over to the swimming area of the camp, drop anchor (outside the swimming area if it's bouyed-off, and start searching. Dry land is private, but watercourses and their bottoms are public.

Midwest Refineries is the best.

Recently I decided to cash in my "junk " jewelry...things like one earring; chain to pendant; etc.

This was my first time cashing in anything ...Midwest had been suggested to me.

I sent in the items..and had figured that I would receive around $200.00 .Was I ever surprised to receive in less than two weeks
after submitting my items...a check for $485.00 .

The staff at Midwest is honest, cordial, & professional.

I will be dealing with Midwest again in the near future.
