I put the 3khz coil to the test today, it is a coin magnet!

I am highly pleased with the new coil. This baby can pick out coins like no one business! I used multi tone and I did NOT dig ANY deep iron, oh so awesome for hunting at an old farm house.
went to this old farm today, it has been empty for almost a year now, I called the realtor and asked if I could detect it, he said go for it!

found a LOT of clad for a farm house, almost 3 bucks worth, including a 1971 Kennedy half, those are always fun to dig up.

here is the indian as I dug it, I could see the full liberty and knew it was an awesome coin

and finally the 1900 indian in all it's glory, this baby is almost perfect shape. Full Liberty, all 4 diamonds in the ribbon. Just a super coin!

Wow, what a good hunt!! Gravy that is just going to keep coming. That was a good cleaning job!~What stuff or method did you use to clean the green corrosion off of the IH penny??

Now if you can get permission, go next door to the next farm house. One fellow told me to detect the roads too, but it is sure very hard digging hard packed gravel. I left a solid good 42 or 44 signal I think it was, still in the gravel road. I will go back and dig it up soon.

Awesome coin goes4ever. I still need to find me one of those. * : (
Congrats, I hope your new coil brings you more luck!!! Enjoy!!!

there is no farm house on either side...lol

as far as cleaning the green off not sure what you mean, I never remove the green patina off of indians, it is green as grass. All I do to clean indians is to use a small toothbrush warm water and a drop of dishwashing soap, and scrub it up.

and the roads here are black top. no digging in that..

and even nicer to hear "no iron". Glad to see you switched to multiple tone mode and stuck by the 3 kHz coil. And for the rest of you out there...... once you understand what it is your X-Terra is trying to tell you, hunting in all metal with multiple tones and the 3 khz coil is hard to beat! JMHO HH Randy

Nice IH !! Well, as you now undoubtedly know...The legend of the 3KHz continues to grow.

I can HONESTLY say this was the FIRST hunt where I was not fooled by deep iron, thanks to all the tips given to me on this forum!

Great IH cent, Goes4ever!

Next chance I get to use the 3 khz coil, I'll be sure to use the multi-tone. Thanks for the tip Digger.

I was considering on sell my X I have all three of coil find like this are reason I have decided to my X.

Killer Find.
Can't wait to get out there with my 3kHz coil.

went back today went across the front yard for a third time got 3 more wheats, a clad dime and a cool kids texas ranger sherriff badge. It was a 48 and normally that is iron, but it had such a sweet quiet signal I took a chance. At 13" down I got the badge, wow, I almost gave up on that one! My digger is 12" long and it was deeper than that!

Way to go...So I would say the 3Khz coil woking out real good. I think I need to put that coil on my wish list!

I wonder how it pick up a deeper cache, not that I have found a shallow cache or any cache at all for that matter.

anything big it is gonna detect. I have got some real nice and deep mason jar lids on these farm houses, so fill one with coins and I am sure you could hit it pretty deep

I enjoy your posts Goes4ever, even if I don't post a comment on each of them. Reading your posts and others on the 3khz coil is very interesting. I'll buy one down the track, as they sound like a very useful coil.
Mick Evans.
