Went back to the old house for a couple of hours today and again, the Sovereign did not let me down. Found some neat medals, a button, half dollar (Bicentennial), a few lousy zinc pennies, one 1944 wheatie and a couple other common coins.
In case anyone is wondering, I hunt this sight with full permission from the Mayor of my little town.(helps to have a father working for the city)
Hope you like the pics. I wish the scans could have been a little better. Hopefully there will be more finds (silver:please:) and pics tomorrow evening.

Good looking site. Ask the city if you can rototill the ground.

Hey, you know that's not a bad idea except for the fact that I hear Sovereigns don't do so well in fluffy soil:confused:

that place looks juicy ..... lots of times the good stuff doesnt appear untill you clean out some of the surface finds.......gotta to be some oldies hiding in there someplace ......good luck

I haven't tried mine in fluffy soil yet, but I gotta think that roto tilling the ground would bring some stuff up.

There will be some who say there is a risk of scratching good targets, to which I say; yep there sure is.

I'd probably be willing to kill for an eight or five inch coil to hunt this place with.

Well done! Very nice finds indeed, yep it sure doesn't hurt to have a little clout now in then.
Great pictures and thanks for posting.

You are welcome Wes and thanks for the compliment.

Didn't get a chance to detect the sight Sunday like I had planned. I think I am going to wait until I get a smaller coil.
