I posted the half a couple weeks ago.. added a few more finds to it.

These folks really wore out their coins. I can't read a date on the shield nickle, and the slug looking thing has a very feint t marked on it. It is the same size as the nickle.

I thought the ring was another brass coupling, but i cleaned it up and was surprissed it was a ring.Has solid gold in side, any idea when they used that instead of karet?

it's older and the marking "solid gold" only means that it's not hollow and has nothing to do with karat. You'll have to test it yourself or take it to a jeweler.It has been my limited experience that the dirtier the ring is when found and harder to clean the lower the karat. Good Hunting
