I Ordered A New Pinpointer Earlier This Week

It should arrive in a couple of weeks. It's the latest "VIBRAPROBE". It's a pulse induction type, which will compliment both my land hunts and Infinium hunts. It's also water proof to 30 feet and should aid with pinpointing deep targets found with my infinium.

All the dealers on this form should be stocking it shortly. Give them a call for more information. :)

I use a vibraprobe, and without a doubt it is far superior to any other! It looks like a new model. I have not seen that one before!

<center>[/quote]I have the original model and I love it. It is the only type I hav ever used. It is good and sturdy. I will have to see what the difference is with the new one.

nice...think i'll get one of those. cant believe its a PI probe, how kool.

I actually called the company that makes these units. The added depth will go from Old = 3/4 to an inch. New 1"-1 3/4" maybe a tad more. It also now has a low battery warning and a better seal on the battery. Check their web site for details, Beale.

Vibraprobe 570

A quick search found one here for $149. I will put in my order for one for Christmas. As I said in my earlier post, I really like mine, the original 560. I like the idea of better battery life and a little more penetration.

One plus is the holster for it. With it's round shape it fits tight to the body, isn't bulky and doesn't fall out.

I have a 560 and wouldn't go water hunting without it, I love it. However my partner had to return his newly purchased 560 because it didn't work and then the replacement stuck on and wouldn't shut off. 3 to get 1 that works? New right out of the box. They've got to do better than that.

Just my 2 cents.

Steve

I do not like the idea of added depth. I know when I am within 1/2 inch of a dime with the 560. More depth will hurt, not help!
I picked up a new 560 on eBay from Southern Treasures for about $90.

Thanks, I was just curious.I have a Sun Ray which doesn't cost a whole lot more and goes a lot deeper plus you can detect shallow coins with it.

Bill.

I'll stick with my Teknetics Pinpointer. VERY long battery life, depth is plenty and it doesn't require as big a hole to probe.

The idea for greater depth is so that you can guess what the distance is from the probe to the target. The closer the end of the probe is to the target, the stronger the target response on the probe, so you know how close you can get with the digger so you don't scratch the target. So, with the Vibraprobe, you have a depth indicator so to speak.

I have one, it's a phillips screwdriver 24 inches long. Works great and saves my back and keeps me off my knees. Also works wonders in bark chips for flicking the chips away to reveal the coin
