I now know why you guys love beach hunting so much

After spending the last few days on the beaches of Sarasota and St. Pete, I finally figured out why so many love to hunt the beaches.

It isn't so much the gold and silver. It's not just finding a great big ring. It has more to do with the scenery. I know this is a family friendly site and so I will keep to that.

It is the BIKINI ! DUHHHHH!!!!!!!!

I haven't seen such beautiful women anywhere else in so great a number. Siesta beach was full on Saturday and there were so many nearly naked women. And the great thing about metal detecting the beaches is that you have an excuse to walk the whole beach even when your significant other is with you.

You can walk away from your wife or lady friend to the woman you saw at another part of the beach and not even get any suspicion from the woman you are with.

I finally figured that out today when an older guy with a detector was detecting only in areas that were populated with spring break girls in very small beach attire. I was laughing as I asked him why he is only detecting in areas where the pretty girls are. He told me that it is one of the perks of beach detecting that land detectorists just don't realize. He then asked me not to tell his wife while laughing. He then said he suspects that she really knows but is letting him look without touching.

You've got to love it!

Was in Miami this last Thursday and it was spring break and I arrived to a very full beach. The ladies seem to be more outgoing asking a lot of questions. I had one ask if I had found any treasures on the ocean floor like this and laid down in the water rear up and raised it up. I have children older than she was and very quickly exited this area. Yes I look but this was a little too close for me. I try and stay in the water until the crowds leave then hit the wet and dry area.
I am not comfotable getting in between two people where there is maybe a foot of dirt between towels. This is too obvious for me.

There was a topless girl on the beach today. I could barely concentrate on my detecting. The life guards drove by her and did not even stop to give her a ticket. They slowed down though. What is this world coming to?

Here in Holland we are so used to topless....

But I like beachhunting for the whole atmosphere... nice air, smell of the sea. The girls are just a bonus.

Looking is fine, it just reminds you that you are still alive. Polarized sunglasses not only help with target locating when water hunting, they also provide a bit more discretion when a particularly heavenly body causes you to stare for too long.
