I now believe in the 4 inch coil !!!

Had a chance to see what I could do with the 4 inch coil on my Pioneer 505... Have had it for a long time
but never used it much or had confidence in it.. So while in Alabama last week took the good weather
to do a little hunting with the 4 inch coil. and WOW.. have I been missing out. Used it for about 5 hours
over a 2 day period and only used the 4 inch. at a youth camp grounds.. it sure did come Thur for me
9 - Quarters - 19 dimes and 15 pennies and of course a lot of pull tabs and other trash.

Don't do I as I did.. and leave it in the truck while hunting... in the right area.. they work GREAT !!

I'm with you. I've used the 4" in areas where I didn't find anything with the 8" and found coins that were masked by pull tabs or other trash. I found quite a few coins but you did better than me. Congradulations!

Just thought I would post my finds with the 4 inch coil attached to my BH-505 -
Think I will use it more often now... IF the weather ever breaks

Way to go Indiana-FH:

I love the 4" coil when working Tot Lots, and wooded areas...The going may be slow, but it gets in tight spaces, and can get almost right up to those metal poles that make up swingsets and slides. You do not know how many times I have dug a quarter and found a pull tab right next to it...the quarter registered, but not the tab.
