Hey everybody, just got back from a week at the beach where I found 5 rings, 2 cellphones, several pairs of sunglasses, coins and a $##* load of pulltabs, thanks heatwave! 1 14K 9.8 Gram wedding band, 1 silver band, 1 class ring and 2 junkers. The class ring has a full name inscribed inside, first name, middle initial and last name so I thought, this will be easy! Boy was I wrong!! There is no school name on it, just initials HC and the year 2009. I have tried every outlet I can think of to find this girl but alas, I cannot. Does anyone know of another way to locate her? I will post some pics later, I had to work today and forgot my camera. Thanks for looking.

Did you try searching on Facebook? Just about everyone who graduated from high school in 2009 has a facebook account.

Yeah that's what I thought first thing, tried and found 1 possibility but her account is set to private, so I sent her a message asking if she had lost a class ring and to please reply either way. Thanks for the suggestion though, and I tried Twitter and Myspace too because that is the first thing I thought, at that age they will definetly be on one of the "Social Networks". Thanks again.

Go to zabbasearch.com put in the name and the state. Graduated in 2009 should have been born around 1992. See if that brings you any luck at all.

even if her account is private look through her contacts and use them to get in touch with her thats what i did this spring to find the owner of a college ring, i emailed everyone i thought was his relative
kent

Good luck. Spend a little time and if no luck then just sell it. I would not waste too much time as I have found that there are hundreds of thousands who graduate every year and finding the owner is like a needle in a hay stack. I had a similar problem and eventually just sold it. Got $250 for it. Not too bad. Amazing how many rings are lost.

there is a site that our club has used,I think it is lost rings.com or something along those lines,I am sure someone from sjmdc will be able to help.if I get the site I will post for you

Google her name. And once you determine the town, google the white pages for her name in that town. I returned a 2011 class ring 2 weeks ago.

HC could be: Holy Cross High School, Henry Clay High School, Houston Christian High School. Google it.
Yeah good idea, why didn't I think to google it??..... I did google it and there are about a billion more high schools that have HC as initials. I think I have found her though. I have been trying to hunt this girl down since I got back from the beach. I tried all the "social network" sites with no results, kept messing around with her name doing some internet searches and after going through a bunch by trial and error and using her guestimated age I think I have her. I would find the name but the age wouldn't be right but then I got several that were possibilties. The real problem was I had no school name, only initials on the stone of the class ring and the year. So I would use the above list of names and type in high schools in ________ whatever city they lived near. So I get this one and it is in North Carolina, the name and age is right, so I thinks this may be good as I found the ring at Myrtle Beach SC, I typed in high schools in ______ city and BAM, a high school with the initials H.C.!! So I go to the alumni page and looked under 2009 alumni and there her name is, middle initial and all!! I have the number for the school and am going to call it in the morning to get a contact number. I will update this post when I return it and also put a good picture of the ring on here. Without a school name I didn't know if I was gonna be able to find her, but I think I have. Good thing she had her full name and middle initial inside the band. If she had only had initials and initials for the school name I don't think it would have been possible to have found her. Also as far as the suggestion above to sell it, it is some cheap crap non-precious metal that I couldn't give away, but I'm sure it is a precious ring to the girl that owns it. You only get one high school class ring and I'm sure there are memories tied to the ring worth more to her than silver and gold, so I wanted to find her and get it back to her. Now I'm not one that thinks every ring shoulld be returned to the looser, as I have a lot of money invested in equipment and time in looking for the stuff and my first inclination is "finders keepers loosers weepers" for most things. But I do have a soft spot for class rings, championship rings and wedding bands that are traceable. The rest are mine for personal use or profit. Thats just my policy, to each his own. Thanks for looking.
