I need the best Garrett Salt Water Detector

EasySwing

New member
I have read the posts on here , AT Pro included, the question is simple. What is the best detector Garrett makes for the Salt water ie use in wet sand and in the surf submerged. I have the mxt for general purpose detecting but would like to give Garrett a chance. This would be used say 90 percent just for the beaches here in Jacksonville Fl. Thanks in advance, and remember no heated discussions, as Friday said just the facts.. Marty

I've been watching this guy compare machines for underwater use. It's on you tube. I type in , whites mxt metal detector and scroll around til these vids come up. finding gold. he shows land and water. he's got a whole series. look at the title of the vid for the one that fits. finding gold vlll is a sample of how they come up. i think it's just what you want.

The Garrett Sea Hunter Mark II...! If you are going to prospect and relic hunt also...the Garrett Infinium LS.

Alan

The Sea Hunter or the Infinium. Just keep in mind that they are both PI detectors. You will dig more junk targets. You will dig the good targets left behind by other detectorists. You will go deep....sometimes too deep for some hunters. The Infinium has more discrimination for real deep targets. The sea Hunter has discrimination for more shallow targets, however goes too deep also in non-disc. mode.

Below are videos on both the Sea hunter & Infinium:

I listen to the wind. When gold finding is mentioned certain detectors stand out. the same for the underwater machines.
If you're wanting garrett only then the've already been listed.
If you want the scoop on the best machines then i would watch the vids i already mentioned. Garrett is among the top three. the vids compare the pulse vs the vlf. depends on what you are after and how you hunt.

I'n not hooked on Garrett only, but I can get a great deal on any of their detectors, so that is why I was asking. Thanks for all the good input. I'll do my research.

Marty

Thanks

Don't do it, we don't need any more beach hunters here in Jax, good luck on finding your machine and will see you out there

Whatever you decide on take time to learn the machine. Don't be afraid to ask questions because whatever problems you run across someone on this forum has experienced before and will be glad to help you out. HH :garrett::minelab::tesoro::whites:
