Hello all. I have watched some videos with the V3. I have a V3i. I notice when a person is pinpointing in the side to side that they have a bit more play than I do. When pinpointing I was told to keep the coil in motion. Well when I am pinpointing I almost cant swing at all without just beeping over the target. I can only swing side to side about an inch without loosing my target. This is very difficult.
My question is. Can I adjust something to give me a longer swing while pinpointing.
thankyou

You needn't swing a long distance to pinpoint your target - only enough to hear the volume fade out - lose the target - in each direction, then find that center point where the target volume is at maximum. You normally incrementally shorten your side-to-side swings as you get closer to center. Also, with some machines, you MUST keep the coil in motion to hear your target. On better machines, though, like most White's detectors, there is a no-motion (all metal) mode also called a pinpoint mode that is accessed by pulling the trigger back....If you try it once you'll know what I'm trying to say...You don't need to move the coil to hear the target....
