I've noticed that there are now a lot of imitations of the Mino Flip-HD now. I don't want to spend extra money if I don't need to. I'm more interested in whatever I get working well... not giving me a problem in the field and not give me problems uploading to the internet.
So what do you thinki?? Mino HD Flip or something different? I usually check out Tiger Direct, Newegg, and of course Amazon for deals... and I Google "best price" with a search for the item once I figure out what I want.
ALSO...
I want to buy my wife a new laptop next week. (I want a core i7 for myself but she doesn't need quite that much power) . I am NOt interested in a MAC of any kind.
I want something for her with a 16:4 HD screen, plenty of connectivity, and at least dual core so that it will never bog down. She is a CPA and also runs several online stores on etsy, she blogs and uses Facebook a good bit too. I am thinking about getting "go to my computer" installed on it so she can do some of her CPA work from home. She uploads and works with a lot of pictures for her online stores.
So that is a bit of info about the needs.
Do you have any recommendations for a laptop or warnings about any to stay away from? I know I don't want any laptop with components that may fail integrated into the motherboard. I have two Dell XPS laptops in my closet. The video card in one went bad and in the other it was something similar, I don't remember exactly what... but in each case the components were integrated into the motherboard and to fix either of themI have to replace the whole motherboard. I will soon but I want the MBprice to drop a little more. The computer shop wanted over 500 bucks each to fix them. I've found motherboards on ebay for a little under 200 bucks. I figure they'll come down a little more soon... but I digress...
Thanks in advance,
Julien
