I need help with MXT tone ID

jim in bama

New member
Hi again,, I am new to the MXT and would like for someone who has some experience tell me how the tone id sounds on this machine. Is tone different for different- metals/coins nickle dime penny quarter etc? for example Low tone for gold/nickles, mid tone for penny/dime and high for quarters and above. Can someone please help this old dummy with this. :stars:

:ranting:Thanks to all and HH Jim in Bama

The MXT does not really have tone ID. The Relic mode, which I like and use, has two tones. Low tone for everything below where you set the discrimination dial and high tone for everything above that setting. Hope this helps. Mike

2 tones is best you can do. The VDI tells the rest of the story. I guess if you want to sound like Super Mario Brothers you'd have to get a Minelab... Just Kidding, but they do have really nice flutey tones!:wiggle:
