I miss the inner service rivalry we use to have. Everyone is just to nice now.

Three men are sitting stiffly side by side on a long commercial
flight.

After they're airborne and the plane has leveled off, the man in the
window seat abruptly says, distinctly and confidently, in a loud
voice, "Admiral, United States Navy, retired. Married, two sons, both
surgeons."

After a few minutes the man in the aisle seat states through a tight
lipped smile, "Admiral, United States Coast Guard, retired. Married,
two sons, both judges."

After some thought, the fellow in the center seat decides to
introduce himself With a twinkle in his eye he proclaims, "Master
Gunnery Sergeant, United States Marines, retired. Never
married, two sons, both Admirals.

... kicking Marine @$$ in rifle competitions, though!

Their line troops could often outshoot ours, but not at competition levels. They DID talk a good game!

By the way...

:usaa: GO ARMY - BEAT NAVY! :stars:

line Marines and competition shooters, big difference tho because if you get in this Marines line of fire I'll shoot the mole off your azz at 500 meters with a M-14 and you won't feel a thing, hahaha

They didn't hand these out to anybody, I had to earn it, I'll never forget what my drill Sgt said to me on the rifle range when I hit 9 out of 10 bulleyes at 500 meters with the M-14, he was standing right behind me looking through his binoculars, he said pvt Moheit, where did you learn how to shoot like that, I said SIr, pvt Moheit was born in Brooklyn N.Y. and rised in California Sir ! Good point pvt Moheit, why did you miss the last bulleye pvt Moheit, I said Sir, you where breathing down my nake sir!

He said pvt Moheit, you can shoot the pimple off a dogs azz at 500 meters and I bet he wouldn't feel it ;), nice shooting son! Out of 189 Marines on the rifle range that day I finish second with a 116 total, pvt Zorn had a 118, perfect was 120, I am pretty proud of that, pvt Zorn and my MOS was M-60 mechine gunners after that day.

I won several trophies and a bunch of medals during my time on Guam. The high lite was winning the all service rifle match. Dropped just 7 points over all.. 243.

It would have been nice to try out for Camp Perry.. but ,, that little free for all in that bar, just before I shipped out to the states, pretty much ruined any chance of that.
