I MISS THE IN-LINE PROBE BUT LOVE THE NEW CTX3030

I MISS THE IN-LINE PROBE BUT LOVE THE NEW CTX3030, so many great features, and improved performance. Thank You Minelab for doing such a great job on this great machine.

Better balance, Better target gage using numbers! Yay!, Much Better Pinpoint trigger, and pinpoint performance and tone, NICE!. So many more awsome features that I like.

BUT I NEED AN IN-LINE PROBE for maximum dig speed and dig efficiency.

All in all I will give Minelab a 9.5 out of 10 on the CTX3030 because of screen glare, but I will buy a computer anti glare screen if one exists and cut it up to fit the screen.

still waiting for ups later this evening.....but the killer price I got was worth it!!!!!

I have in-line and Garrett ProPointer. In-line is a little more sensitive, but the ProP is much easier to use, and I never have the problem of switching back to the coil.
Simply: I love the ProP!

Hey mascard1, I think your gonna like your new CTX, are you hunting tonight after you get it? Give me a call, I'm heading out after work, heat and all.

someone is working on a Garrett's type handheld probe with tones or a corded or wireless handheld that transmits and receives to a small hip mounted box . Somewhere else there is probably also a detectorist who is building his own by just hooking up a Sunray inline to just the box of another detector . Just a couple of thoughts running thru my mind .

I know I'm going to miss my SunRay Probe....but the ProPointer is good too. Hell who am I kidding? I'm just glad to be getting a CTX, I'd use a water dowsing stick as a pinpointer if it meant I got a CTX....lol

Yep, the Garrett is the one I have. It works ok. But the in line is a little deeper, I just need to adjust to the new method.
