I may have been thrown to the wolves!

Called for an inspection Tuesday on the house. I went there in person to get a replacement inspection card. They gave me one, no problem and said they would send out an inspector. He came, left a note and said he needed to talk with me about a couple of things before he could pass it. No problem. I called them and asked when they would like to meet. A guy I knew got on the phone and said my permit was expired. Then told me I would have to get a knew one from the city. At the time I got the original, we weren't in the city. Apparantly he didn't know they gave me a replacement permit, and sent out an inspector. I showed him the note that was left, and he decided to review my permit. They can continue if they want as I am already grandfathered in. Its totally up to him if he wants to be a nice guy. He told me to call him back Tuesday. So I don't know if I need prayer, or he does. Or maybe both of us. When I first heard this I had a panic attack. The city is the last place I would want to go for a permit. :help By the way, Bill has done a great job on this site, lots of new neat stuff!
