Calling all 8x6 sef users. I have a 8x6 sef coil and wanted to know what coil setting, is everyones using that use the 8x6 sef. Right now i am using the 10"DD coil setting for the 8x6 sef. I was thinking the 6x10 setting but feel i am losing depth. TY GS.

There are no coil settngs for coils except to match the coil for more exact depth readings.

On the v31 if i am using the 10"DD coil then i would change the setting to 10" DD , Then if i take it off and put the 5.3" coil on then i would change the setting to the 5.3" But there is no 8x6 setting , so what is everyone using ? Under loop selection.

I have a 10x12 but no 6x8. Again all you are doing is allowing the V3i to give a more accurate depth reading for each coil. The V3i would not have settng for any coil Whites didn't make. Just bury a coin and see which Whites choice gives the most accurate reading for the 6x8.

I set mine to the 6x10DD. Most of the Whites folks seem to suggest the same on their discussion board when I asked long ago. In the end, the depth readings are a-skew so much that it really don't matter a lot. The 6x10 setting seems to match pretty well for me with the 8x6 SEF coil. Any time I get that sharp coin tone and the Disc depth matches closely with the PP reading...I almost always dig a coin. The 6x10 is my suggestion. martin
