I 'm Pretty Sure That I Got Close To Gold Ring Today:smile:

With all the lost coins and drinking, there just has to be a lost gold ring there. All I have to do is clean out all the thrash to find it.:detecting:

That's a good start tabman,

that is a trashy area and you are clearing out the masking trash that could hide a gold ring. Hope you find ring for every finger, you earned it.

Do you find that the mid depth pulltabs sound harsher? but you hate to pass on those signals because the heavier mens gold rings come in at that conductivity.

Randy, if it beeps I'm on it like a duck on a June bug that just hit the water if I'm on the prowl for gold jewelry at a likely site where there should be some.

Looks like you are right on track :)

Oh Man! Thats the spot alright! Old style, new, and even a champagne bottle wire...key, opener...looks real promising from here...lots of drinkin=lots of droppin.

At least you have some coins in there. My tab pit has nothing but tabs but I believe there is some gold in there.

I didn't know ducks liked june bugs! Here's the way I look at it-next time I'm at the site, the sailin's smoother. Nice post..

Don't forget to dig that foil.
I have found 9 rings at foil, 7 at nickel and only 2 at tabs.

Tabman thanks to you I have a grassy area by a beach that I have turned my disc down on and started to clean out. Each time I go there I spend about an hour digging it all. I have already cherry picked and want to get the trash out to see what is left. My area is about 20 feet by 20 feet. If there is more there I am gonna find it! After an hour of digging trash I go back to cherry picking.

A lot of times I start out with minimum discrimination and dig all good repeatable signals until I get a feel of what I'm up against. Doing that helps me to determine by the targets recovered just how much discrimination I really need to use to cut down on digging so much trash. For example, if I'm digging lots of modern pull tabs there's no need to run a higher discrimination setting to knock out beaver tail pulls that are few and far between or non-existent. Sometimes I dig a lot of beaver tail pull tabs, but only a few screw caps, so I set the discrimination just high enough to barely knock out the beaver tail pull tabs, because I can handle digging a few screw caps. Also, I find that it seems not quite as big of a task to run minimum discrimination at a large trashy site if I mark out small areas and clear one at a time. If I'm feeling good and in the mood to do some digging I really enjoy seeing what all I can recover from one of those small areas. :)

Ive spent three hours the last two trips cleaning tabs out of a park site. Its an old park and where people park and get out there is tons of tabs but few coins. . I found four nickles there today 1 dime and 1 penny. That tells me the detectorist have cherry picked it pretty good. Also found a plated necklace and a plated earring. That tells me there is a good chance of gold there somewhere. Im due for a ring.

Tab you will find it , no one is looking but you - look at all those old tabs from the 70,s of someone is leaving those in the ground the have left every gold ring in the ground to , I commend your search method its exactly what i would do , like I say the only gold ring I found I found digging foil and can slaw it sounded like foil it was a nice 5 gram gold cladda ring and it was face down sounded like junk on edge but i was doing just like you and i was more than a little surprised when gold came up .
