I LOVE RELIC HUNTING....

[attachment 24902 LongLiveThePresident3AD.jpg]....you can't beat digging up HISTORY. Here is one of my best finds, from a Civil War POW camp in Kentucky. Found at a depth of 9".

[attachment 24976 LongLiveThePresidentLostTreasuresMagazineSMALL.jpg]Thank you Dave.....I also had the thrill of having it authenticated my the Button Book Master himself, Alphaeous Albert, in person, and got his written permission, to quote his book in the Lost Treasure Magazine Article I wrote about it. All in all, it was quite a wonderful trip to Kentucky.

Hello Chuck, very nice button. Research is part of the fun! I've learned a lot my researching my relics. And, like you, I love relic hunting.

That is an awesome find, Chuck.

I'm new to relic hunting & the info I'm getting from this Forum is great. Was a clad hunter for about a year, then got hit by the relic bug when I found some WWI Military Uniform Buttons. Now I can't seem to ever get enough information.

Thanks to you and many others for all the informative and educational posts:clapping:

Hello Dick......thank you for your kind words. You are right from the symptoms, you definitely have the bug! Ft.Dodge, IA huh? You should have a plentiful supply of relics around you there? Watch out....I might just have to come up that way this year, and have you show me around! Good Luck and good hunting.

Hi Angela.....I'd luv to see some pics of your relics from "down under"? I have been down your way SCUBA diving, but have not yet had the chance to do some swinging in your wonderous country.

Hello Chuck, I've got so many, I wouldn't know which to post. So hope these pics give you an idea. My hubby used to scuba dive for over 20 years, and did dredging for gold as a living for a while. I'm interested in hookah diving, so I don't have to carry tanks.

:clapping:Some very nice finds there Angela! I am always so interested in seeing relic finds from other countries. Having a degree in US History, makes me wish I had pursued one in World History as well. Hookah huh? I am a PADI Dive Master, and have been diving since 1990, but I have never tried Hookah. Would be fun to try, I think! Keep up the "good finds", and by all means post them as time allows!
