I Love Metal Detecting because:
1. It gets me outdoors in the Fresh Air.
2. It gives me needed exercise walking and getting up and down.
3. It takes my mind off personal and worldly problems.
4. It is exciting when your coil locks on and sounds off in that lovely mellow "COIN TONE"!
5. You meet others that share your love of detecting. I was fortunate to meet Monte!
6. It is an activity in which a person can actually give themselves the opportunity of finding items that have monetary value. Sometimes great value! Not like collecting butterflies.
I'm sure there's more reasons but these are what come to mind now.
